Jamaica, NY Jamaica, NY Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $20 an hour $20 an hour 23 hours ago 23 hours ago 23 hours ago Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Volunteer Services Manager, the Part-Time Program Assistant is responsible for completing tasks associated with the onboarding of in-person and virtual volunteers and interns.
This position will also provide support and assistance to other areas within the Volunteer Services Department.
The Part-Time Program Assistant processes incoming applications and initiates intake and screening and verifies all submitted documents.
Notifies applicants of missing documentation and provides support to navigate uploading steps.
The Part-Time Program Assistant will also respond to incoming applicant decision forms and regularly correspond with Library staff to maximize response from Volunteer Services.
This position is responsible for disseminating acceptance letters, welcome letters, staff notices, and denial letters to applicants using the Salesforce CRM system.
They also facilitate background screening and health and safety procedures.
Finalizes applications including setup access to health and safety accounts and creates online attendance records.
This position will assist department staff to prepare supplies for upcoming community service events and will maintain an accurate inventory of materials for community service.
Supports with scheduling supply delivery and pickup arrangements with community library staff and the shipping department.
The Part-Time Program Assistant will attend and provide on-site support at indoor/outdoor events and manage volunteers.
Performs other duties as required.
Position Information Varied schedule with availability of 2-3 days.
A maximum of 17 hours per week.
The rate of pay is $20.
00 per hour.
Traveling required.
Part-time positions do not offer any medical or health benefits.
Qualifications High School Diploma or High School Equivalency is required.
General office experience is required.
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are required.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite is required.
