Teacher assistants work under a teacher's supervision to give students additional attention and instruction.
Major Responsibilities & Duties Assist the Lead teacher to create a classroom environment conducive to optimizing teaching and a nurturing learning atmosphere Reinforce lessons by reviewing materials with students one-on-one or in small groups Assist the with administration of data collection and record keeping Take daily attendance Review homework Monitor children during lunch Escort and monitor children during bus duty Interact with students, parents and colleagues in a professional, positive and inspiring manner Fully understand and implement the school mission Report to Principal Qualification/ Experience One year experience Associate's Degree New York State Certification a Plus Good communication skills Compensation REACS offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package with room to grow within.
